Saunas and steam rooms in Emirates Hills.
In Emirates Hills Sauna Spaces designs full home spa suites: a sauna, a steam room or hammam, a chilled cold plunge and showers, usually in the basement, the gym wing or beside the pool. Steam rooms start at AED 34,000 and hammams with heated marble benches at AED 65,000, installed.
Design conceptWhat people build in Emirates Hills
Villas here are large and custom built, so the request is usually a complete spa rather than a single sauna.
- Basement spa suites. A traditional sauna, a steam room or hammam and a cold plunge, with a shower and a relaxation area between them.
- Gym wing additions. A sauna and plunge next to the home gym, so training and recovery sit in one place.
- Poolside cabins. An outdoor sauna with a covered porch and a chilled plunge by the pool.
- Hammams. Marble or stone, a heated bench, a basin and a vaulted ceiling, designed to match Arabic or modern interiors.
Designing to your interiors
We work from your interior designer's finishes, so the spa matches the rest of the villa.
Timber species, stone, tile, glass and lighting are chosen to suit the house. We can work to a designer's drawings or produce our own.
Approvals and power
New outdoor structures need a community NOC, and we prepare the drawings for it. Villas of this size usually have a three phase supply, which suits larger heaters and steam generators. We confirm the spare capacity on your board during the site visit.

Questions from Emirates Hills homeowners
Do you charge for a site visit?
Site visits in Dubai are free. We measure the space, check power and ventilation, and send you a drawing and a fixed price within a few days.
Do I need approval to build a sauna?
Indoor saunas in a villa rarely need approval beyond your community's rules for contractors. Outdoor saunas and structural changes may need an NOC from your master developer or community. We prepare the drawings for the application.
What electrical supply does a sauna need?
Every sauna needs its own dedicated circuit from your distribution board. Infrared saunas usually run on a standard single phase supply. Traditional heaters of around 9 kW often need a three phase supply. We check your board at the site visit and our electrician installs and tests the circuit.
How long does it take to build a sauna at home?
Most indoor saunas take two to three weeks from design sign off to handover, with two to four days of that on site. Outdoor saunas and steam rooms take longer because of foundations, waterproofing and tiling.
