Where can a sauna go?
Anywhere with about 1.2 x 1.2 m of floor and a way to bring in power: a spare bedroom, a large bathroom, a basement, under the stairs, a home gym or a corner of a master suite. See the sauna size guide for dimensions.
Timber options
We build in spruce, thermo aspen, thermo pine and hemlock, with cedar on request. Thermo treated timber is heated to stabilise it, so it moves less and resists moisture, which matters in Dubai's humidity.

Design conceptHome saunas: common questions
How much does a home sauna cost in Dubai?
A built in infrared sauna from Sauna Spaces starts at AED 18,500, a traditional Finnish sauna for a 2 x 2 m room starts at AED 26,500, and a hybrid sauna starts at AED 29,500. Prices include design, supply and installation in Dubai and exclude VAT. Your final price depends on size, timber, heater and finish.
How much space do I need for a home sauna?
A two person infrared sauna fits in about 1.2 x 1.2 m. A comfortable traditional sauna for three or four people needs around 2 x 2 m with a ceiling height of 2.1 to 2.4 m. We can also build into an unused bathroom, a room under the stairs or a corner of a home gym.
What electrical supply does a sauna need?
Every sauna needs its own dedicated circuit from your distribution board. Infrared saunas usually run on a standard single phase supply. Traditional heaters of around 9 kW often need a three phase supply. We check your board at the site visit and our electrician installs and tests the circuit.
Is an infrared or a traditional sauna better?
A traditional sauna heats the air to 70 to 100°C and gives you the classic Finnish heat with steam from the stones. An infrared sauna runs at 45 to 60°C and warms your body directly, so it heats up faster and feels gentler. A hybrid gives you both in one room.
Can I install a sauna in an apartment?
Yes, in most cases. Infrared saunas suit apartments because they need no water, little ventilation and a standard power supply. You will need building management approval for the electrical work, which we help you prepare.
How long does it take to build a sauna at home?
Most indoor saunas take two to three weeks from design sign off to handover, with two to four days of that on site. Outdoor saunas and steam rooms take longer because of foundations, waterproofing and tiling.
