Saunas and steam rooms in Palm Jumeirah.
Sauna Spaces builds home saunas, steam rooms and cold plunges on Palm Jumeirah, in Frond villas, garden homes and apartments on the trunk and Shoreline. Infrared saunas start at AED 18,500 installed, and we prepare the drawings for the Nakheel or building management approval.
Design conceptWhat people build on the Palm
On the Fronds the favourite is a sauna and cold plunge by the pool. In apartments it is a built in infrared sauna in a spare room or a large bathroom.
- Frond villas. A garden or poolside sauna cabin, a hybrid sauna in a ground floor room off the pool terrace, or a full recovery room with a chilled plunge.
- Garden homes and townhouses. A traditional or hybrid sauna in the maid's room, storeroom or a corner of the home gym.
- Apartments. An infrared sauna on a single circuit, or a steam shower built into an existing bathroom.
Building near the sea
Salt air is the main difference on the Palm, so outdoor builds get stainless fixings, sealed timber and a covered porch.
Wind off the Gulf carries salt and sand. For outdoor saunas we use thermo treated timber with a UV stable finish, stainless steel screws and hinges, and door seals against sand. Inside, the usual rules apply: insulation, a vapour barrier and good ventilation.
Approvals and access
Outdoor structures on the Fronds normally need a Nakheel NOC. Works inside an apartment go through the building's management.
We prepare the drawing, the specification and the electrical details for your application, and plan deliveries around building access and working hours.
Power
Infrared saunas run on a normal single phase circuit. Traditional heaters above about 6 kW and steam generators usually need a dedicated circuit from your board, and larger ones a three phase supply. We check your board on the site visit.

Questions from Palm Jumeirah homeowners
Do you charge for a site visit?
Site visits in Dubai are free. We measure the space, check power and ventilation, and send you a drawing and a fixed price within a few days.
Do I need approval to build a sauna?
Indoor saunas in a villa rarely need approval beyond your community's rules for contractors. Outdoor saunas and structural changes may need an NOC from your master developer or community. We prepare the drawings for the application.
What electrical supply does a sauna need?
Every sauna needs its own dedicated circuit from your distribution board. Infrared saunas usually run on a standard single phase supply. Traditional heaters of around 9 kW often need a three phase supply. We check your board at the site visit and our electrician installs and tests the circuit.
How long does it take to build a sauna at home?
Most indoor saunas take two to three weeks from design sign off to handover, with two to four days of that on site. Outdoor saunas and steam rooms take longer because of foundations, waterproofing and tiling.
